Race Report MXGP Belgium 3

Deutsch: Jeremy Seewer, Yamaha Factory Pilot, zeigte in der 15.Runde der FIM Motocross-Weltmeisterschaft Stärke und beendete den dritten und letzten Grand Prix in Lommel auf dem 3.Gesamtrang. Seewer sammelte wichtige Punkte und fuhr auf seinen fünften Podiumsplatz als 3.Platzierter. Durch den Ausfall von Jorge Prado ist er in der MXGP-Meisterschaftswertung auf den dritten Platz vorgerückt.

ERSTES RENNEN: Starker Regen sorgte für eine neue Herausforderung beim dritten von drei aufeinanderfolgenden Runden, die innerhalb einer Woche in Lommel stattfanden. Im Eröffnungsrennen brachte Seewer sein Bike gleich nach dem Start in die Top 3 und überquerte als 2.Platzierter die erste Kurve. Die «91» wurde dann von Cairoli und in der Ersten Runde von Febvre überholt. Seewer fand seinen Platz auf der vierten Position und war für das gesamte Rennen, 16 Runden lang unangefochten.

ZWEITES RENNEN: Das letzte Rennen auf der rauen und holprigen Strecke war ein wahrer Kampf, mental wie auch körperlich. Seewer überquerte erneut die Fox Holeshot-Linie innerhalb der Top-3 und lieferte eine starke Performance ab. Die «91» war weise, seine Grenzen im nichts verzeihenden Sand von Lommel nicht zu überschreiten und entschied sich für einen sicheren dritten Platz. Dieser reichte aus, um zum ersten Mal seit seinem Gewinn des Grand Prix in der Lombardei in Mantova, wieder auf das Podium zurückzukehren.

Standings: Seewer hat sich in der MXGP-Weltmeisterschaft auf den 3.Platz begeben und liegt nur 10 Punkte hinter dem 2. Platzierten Antonio Cairoli

Nächstes Event: Die FIM Motocross-Weltmeisterschaft reist jetzt nach Pietramurata, Italien. Wo die letzten drei Runden der Serie am Sonntag, 1., Mittwoch, 4. Und Sonntag, 8. November stattfinden.

After Race Talk with Jeremy: «Es ist schön, nach einer harten Woche hier in Lommel wieder auf dem Podium zu stehen. Es war wirklich brutal da draussen, der Regen, das Wetter, die Strecke, drei GP`s hintereinander, Lommel, es war einfach sehr schwierig. Ich bin froh, mit zwei soliden Läufen und ohne grosse Fehler wieder auf dem Podium zu stehen. Ich freue mich auf die nächsten drei GP`s in Arco di Trento, denn dies ist eher meine Art von Strecke. Somit sind noch drei positive Rennen übrig»

English: Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Pilot Jeremy Seewer showed good strength at the 15th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship to finish the third and final Grand Prix at Lommel inside the top six. Seewer collected his fifth piece of podium silverware this season from the third step of the podium and has moved up into third in the MXGP Championship Standings.

RACE ONE: Heavy rain made for a new challenge at the third of three back-to-back rounds to take place in Lommel within a week. In the opening race, Seewer powered his YZ450 FMs to top-three starts. Seewer found his place in fourth and was unchallenged for the full 16-lap race. RACE TWO: The final race at the rough and bumpy circuit was a true battle of mental and physical strength. Seewer crossed the Fox Holeshot line inside the top-three once again and charged hard for the first few laps.

Seewer was wise not to push his limits on the unforgiving sand and settled for a safe third position, which was enough to return to the podium for the first time since he won the Grand Prix of Lombardia in Mantova, Italy.

Standings: Seewer finished 3rd in the MXGP World Championship and stay only 10 points behind 2nd placed Antonio Cairoli.

Next Event: The FIM Motocross World Championship now travels to Pietramurata, Italy, where the final three rounds of the series will occur on Sunday 1st, Wednesday 4th and Sunday 8th of November.

After Race Talk with Jeremy: “It’s nice to be back on the podium after a tough week here in Lommel. It was really brutal out there, the rain, the weather, the track, three GP’s in a row, Lommel, it was just really tricky. I am happy to be back on the podium with two solid motos and no big mistakes. I’m looking forward to the next three GP’s in Arco di Trento because this is more my type of track so there are still some positive races left.”
